Sunidhi learnt Reiki from her father and mentor Shri Ashwani Mehra, who is a pioneer in the field of Reiki healing and teaching. Mr. Mehra established the Holistic Healing Centre in 1995 and has since then attuned thousands of people who themselves are now successful Reiki masters and healers.
In her 16-year career as a professional Reiki healer & teacher, Sunidhi has initiated hundreds of individuals into this spiritual healing technique. She currently holds Reiki classes at her centre in Gurugram.
Meaning of Reiki
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei and Ki. Rei is usually defined as the “Higher Intelligence” that guides the creation and functioning of the universe. Ki – which is also known as ‘Chi’ in China and ‘prana’ in India – is the “life force energy” that flows through everything that is alive. So Reiki is actually the “spiritually guided life force energy.”
How does Reiki work
We are alive because the “life force energy” flows through us. This energy nourishes the cells and organs of the body and supports them in their vital functions. When this flow of “life force energy” is disrupted (sometimes because of negative thoughts and feelings), it causes diminished functioning in one or more organs of the body, resulting in illness. Reiki heals by flowing through the concerned parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. Since Reiki is guided by the “Higher Intelligence”, it knows exactly where to go and how to respond to disruptions in the flow of Ki.

How to Learn Reiki
Reiki is a very simple technique to learn and is not dependent on your having any prior experience with healing, meditation or any sort of training. The ability to do Reiki is simply transferred from the teacher to the student through a process called “attunement”. This process allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of “life force energy”, thus giving you the power to harness this energy for your own good or the good of the society. Once you’ve received a Reiki attunement, you’ll have Reiki for the remainder of your life.
Courses offered
Reiki is taught in five stages or levels – First, Second, Third A & B, and Grand Mastership. Sunidhi teaches first and second levels together in one or two sittings based on the convenience of the student. Learning the first two levels gives the practitioner the power to heal himself and others through touch as well as through distance.
As the levels advance, so do the powers of the practitioner. The final level of Grand Mastership is awarded only to those who have excelled in the field of Reiki healing and teaching.
